When used in the GEOPRESS Water Purifier, this Replacement Purifier Cartridge makes clean, safe water from virtually any fresh water source and is designed for international travel, outdoor adventure and emergency use – anywhere in the world! GEOPRESS Purifier Cartridge removes waterborne pathogens and parasites including viruses, bacteria, protozoa cysts (e.g. rotavirus, hepatitis A, norovirus, giardiasis, cryptosporidium, E. coli, cholera, salmonella and dysentery). Filters microplastics and other harmful particulates including many pesticides, chemicals (chlorine, benzene, chloroform) and heavy metals (lead, arsenic, chromium) all while activated carbon removes odors and bad tastes. Ideal for the rigors of international travel, backpacking, hiking, camping, canoeing, fly fishing, hunting, survival, and emergencies worldwide. The replaceable Purifier Cartridge lifespan is 350 uses (65 gal / 250 L), depending on water quality. The cartridge will require an increasing press time as it reaches the end of its lifespan, as impurities reduce the water flow. Once press time increases to over 25 seconds, the Purifier Cartridge should be replaced. Stored under proper conditions, an unopened Purifier Cartridge has a shelf life of 10 years (making it ideal for emergency and bug out kits).
