We purchased this ship at a local estate sale. The owner displayed it on the mantle over the fireplace and it was quite impressive. I searched the internet and couldn't find any as large as this one. The sails could use some cleaning, but I wasn't sure how to properly clean them. I don't find anything broken or damaged. Please view photos with enlargement feature in order to see condition close up. Because of its size we cannot accept a return due to the shipping costs, so be sure to ask any questions BEFORE purchasing! The measurements are approximate. Here is some info I found on the web:
"This is a replica of a Spanish Ship from The Battle of Cape St. Vincent that took place off the southern coast of Portugal on 16 January 1780 during the American Revolution. A British fleet under Admiral Sir George Rodney defeated a Spanish squadron under Don Juan De Langara. The battle is sometimes referred to as the Moonlight Battle because it was unusual for naval battles in the Age Of Sail to take place at night."
