This steel box is ready for welding into a gate frame suitable for Knob-set or Deadbolt Lock
Height measures 3 1/2"
Width measures 4 1/4"
Thickness measures 1 1/4" with center flair allowing more room for the lock's body
Stop plate on one side of box 3 3/8" x 1 1/4" stops gate on latch post
Lock hole measures 2 1/8" suitable for many style locks (Kwikset, Cal Royal, & many more) with 2 3/8" back-set
Some locks require 1 7/8" hole (Schlage) and reduction rings (2 1/8" to 1 7/8") can be purchased with your lock to install in this size box.

The front plate has threaded holes for mounting back-set screws
