This simple to use Digital Moisture Meter is ideal for measuring the moisture content of fire wood, plaster, walls, boats, caravans, timber, bricks, concrete, sawdust, wood shavings and other materials. Accurate measurements are very quickly taken and displayed on a large LCD display where they can be held.
Moisture Content MC
The majority of materials which have a moisture content (MC) do so because they are porous.This is true for Wood, Brick, Plaster & Concrete, all of which are suited perfectly to this meter. Due to this their MC is directly affected by the relative humidity of the surrounding air. As relative humidity increases, so does the moisture content in these materials, this should be taken into account when taking measurements.
Fire Wood - A MC of 20% or less means the wood will burn efficiently. Wood with a MC of 20% will release up to 50% more heat then wood with a MC of 30%.
Brick - According to BRE Good Repair Guide a MC of 20% is a typical action point for masonry brick.
Plaster & Concrete - A MC of 0-7% is ideal, though wall MC can vary over a day, season or location between 0-20%.

Operating manual:
1. Install the battery properly.
2. Remove the protective cover of probe, switch ON the instrument by pressing ON/OFF button
3. Pierce the probe pin into the measuring object by 5mm depth.
4. The value displayed in the screen is the moisture content of object.
5. By press the button "HOLD", it will hold the measured value. One more time to press"HOLD", the meter will release the "Hold" function
6. When the measurement is completed, switch OFF the power, put on the protectivecover on probe.
