WOODEN FLAT BOTTOM SAILING SKIFF POND BOAT EARLY WILLIAM GARDEN DESIGN FROM DN GOODCHILD over at Toad Hall, now gone, BUILT BY ME. 45 INCHES ON DECK, 18 inch beam, 54 inches OA rigged, 1/6 scale GAFF RIGGED. TORPEDO 500 MOTOR 5 -15VDC MOTOR installed SHAFT AND PROPELLOR IN, GOOD STRONG THREE BLADE, 1/4 SCAle servo on rudder installed. Ready for your speed controller and radio battery. It has a concrete/iron ballast keel as in the original design, which is not quite enough ballast as a pond boat I have a extra bulb keel that easily bolts on to give it real stable sailing capability. Various jib and staysail set-ups are possible, I've got a large self tending jib set up ala Howard Chapelle, there's a spar for the staysail also on deck , a little esoteric perhaps, Canvased deck in epoxy, Teak belaying pins and rail, open cockpit, old growth Douglas fir, Oregon white oak rudder and rails. Not Capt. Haddock and Tin Tin included although they're a little worse for the wear and broken. Many of the blocks are working and chain plates and other hardware are GRP, Could use colorcordinating I suppose those are all earth pigments set in epoxy, one side is colonial yellow while portside is brown and green with white transom and red oxide bottom, a bit sloppy maybe, but then again. handmade, save servo/motor I'm going to have to put together nice crating,
